जौनपुर।<\/strong>जनपद से होकर गुजरने वाले प्रयागराज-गोरखपुर मार्ग (एसएच – 7) का शाहगंज से मुंगरा बादशाहपुर तक का 65 किलोमीटर हिस्सा फोरलेन में तब्दील होगा। शासन के निर्देश पर लोक पीडब्ल्यूडी की ओर से 1490 करोड़ रुपये एस्टीमेट शासन को भेज दिया है।<\/p>\n

प्रयागराज-गोरखपुर मार्ग के चैनेज संख्या 53.170 (मुंगराबादशाहपुर) से 118.200 शाहगंज तक का हिस्सा अभी महज सात मीटर चौड़ा है। उक्त मार्ग का प्रयागराज से मुंगराबादशाहपुर तक का हिस्सा व गोरखपुर से शाहगंज का हिस्सा लगभग फोरलेन बन चुका है।<\/p>\n

शाहगंज विधायक रमेश सिंह ने मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ से मिलकर उक्त मार्ग के बचे हुए हिस्से को फोरलेन में तब्दील किए जाने कि मांग की थी। मार्ग पर वाहनों के भारी आवागमन के चलते चौड़ीकरण की मांग लगातार उठाई जा रही थी। मार्ग के फोरलेन बनाए जाने के क्रम में गोमती, पीली व सई नदी पर तीन दीर्घ सेतु का निर्माण भी किया जाएगा।<\/p>\n
